Winning beauty pageants is second nature to Nikita Anand, who began her tryst with glamour at the tender age of 13 with the Miss Ranchi title. Being an Army kid, she was exposed to travel, new cities, new adventures and yet a life of discipline. Having already started ramp modeling at 16, she participated and won many more pageants like The May Queen Mumbai, The May Queen Delhi & The Indiatimes Facehunt Model Contest. Having won these local pageants, it was time to participate in the most coveted beauty pageant of the country. Hard work, confidence, grit and determination paved way and she won the prestigious Miss India Universe title in 2003. Since then, life has been a constant roller coaster with magazine covers, fashion weeks, designer shoots, ad campaigns, television anchoring and Bollywood films.
